Hailey is surrounded by incredible mountain country. The federal government manages most of the recreation lands between the Bureau of Land Management and the US Forest Service. The crown jewel is the Sawtooth National Recreation Area (locals just call it SNRA).The SNRA has approximately 750 miles of trails, 40 peaks rising over 10,000 feet and 300 plus high mountain lakes that add to the spectacular scenery and vistas.
